Textili Shawl
by Tanis Gray
Shawl is worked flat back and forth in rows on the bias. 1 Strand of 2 different yarns are alternatingly worked for the transition repeats. Follow color sequence in pattern for color placement - 5 colors at 220 yds each are used.
The garter edging is worked on smaller needles, while the body of the shawl is worked on larger needles.
Pattern is both charted and written.
While the name of the yarn is 16 Worsted, I find it to be more on the DK side of things. Because a shawl is a non-fitted garment, you can knit with any weight you’d like, just be sure to adjust needle size accordingly!
