Tessa
“Tessa” is a traditional triangle shawl with a small Fair Isle pattern repeat. You cast on on the long side and work to the tip - that’s just for a psychologic effect: The falling number of stitches keeps you motivated :-) This shawl needs place for the pattern, so the decreases are made exclusively at the edges, in RS rows as well as in WS rows.
Measurements:
71” x 31 ½” (180 x 80 cm
Materials:
You’ll need approx 930 yds of fingering yarn in main color (dark brown) and 635 yds in contrasting color (beige). I used “Pinta” from Pascuali, hand-dyed by Gesa Drechsler from Buttjebeyy in Germany. I chose a coloring with walnut in two different concentrations. If you are interested in her yarns, please visit her facebook group “Buttjebeyy - natürlich handgefärbt”.
I used a US2 (3,0 mm) circular needle.
Gauge:
25 sts and 30 rows in Fair Isle stockinette stitch = 4” x 4” (10 x 10 cm)
