Ten Stitch Corner
This addition to my Ten Stitch family of patterns is knitted one corner at a time, working from the outside in. The knitting is simple garter stitch; ten stitch wide strips are shaped with short rows and joined to the blanket as you knit.
Sewing the four corners together is simple to do and gives a wonderful cross effect - like an inside out version of the original Ten Stitch Blanket. You could also just knit three corners and sew them together to make a shawl.
I knitted my blanket with Crazy Zauberball yarn on 2.75 mm needles but you could use any weight of yarn. Just choose yarn and needles that give you a pleasing garter stitch fabric and make your blanket whatever size you like.
This is a long pattern as I have included step by step instructions, with photos, for all the corners used: Single, Double and Reverse Double Corners. The first two of these are used in the the original Ten Stitch Blanket so, if you are having trouble with that, you might find this pattern helpful.
All my ravelry patterns are free to download but, if you enjoy them,
please consider making a donation to the British Liver Trust where
the money will go to fund research and support the families of
children with a liver disease. You can do this easily by going to my
fundraising page here
Happy Knitting!
