This hat is worked in the round from the bottom up. The simple cables emerge from the twisted rim. Starting with the darkest colour and fading into the lightest and back again, the hat combines simple cables on a Garter Stitch background with some simple colour work. The crown decreases in pattern while maintaining the colour order and cable design.

This hat was designed using five 25g mini skeins of hand dyed Arran yarn from An Irish Knit Odyssey in a fade.

While the pattern contains instructions for the large sizes, the kit only contains enough for the small or medium sizes. There is possibly enough yarn for the large but CC1 is too close to call! Replacing the last CC1 section with CC5 could be an option also.
