MATERIALS
5(6:7:8:9) 100g balls of Cygnet Wool Rich Aran shade 241 Pink Mix (224 meters/245 yards per 100g ball)
Pair each 4mm (US 6) and 4.5mm (US 7) knitting needles. Cable needle.

Note: to add length buy approx 2 more balls (490 yards) and see notes in pattern.

To Substitute: use the correct length of any yarn that has a knit tension of 18 sts and 22 rows to 10cm/4in over st st using 4.5mm (US 7) needles.

This is the cover project on Simply Knitting 76, February 2011. It is a woman’s cabled and crew-necked jumper, fitted by using the negative ease and stretch of the cables. The body of the jumper has a boat neckline, but the ribbed crew neckline which begins at that point is long enough to cover the throat and neck for an inch or two.

Actual measurements of garment:
Bust: 30.75in/78cm - 49.5in/126cm
Back length: 21in/53.5cm - 24in/61cm
Sleeve length: 18in/46cm - 20in/51cm

The pattern suggests a yarn with good stitch definition and a mid to light shade, to set off the cables. Five to nine 100g balls of the recommended yarn are required, as well as a cable needle. There is no stitch diagram or chart, but there are two photo tutorials on Cable 2 Right without using a cable needle, and on decreasing.
