The surprising curved form of these arm warmers translates into artful scrunch that keeps your wrists toasty and adds a futuristic note to your wardrobe. Use a single skein of Loft to make a pair in the shorter length (shown in Fauna), or two skeins for the longer option (shown in Snowbound). The pattern is worked circularly from the palm to the forearm and makes an entertaining knit as the curved shape emerges.

Construction

These armwarmers are worked circularly from palm to forearm and briefly worked flat while the thumb opening is made. The forearms are shaped using short rows.

200 (300) yards of fingering weight wool yarn

Yarn

1 (2) skein(s) of Brooklyn Tweed Loft (100% American Targhee-Columbia wool; 275 yards/50g)

Gauge

22 stitches & 38 rounds = 4” in stockinette stitch with Size A needle(s), after blocking

Needles

Size A (for Main Fabric)
One set of double-pointed needles (DPNs)* in size needed to obtain gauge listed
Suggested Size: 2¾ mm (US 2)

Size B (optional; for Tubular Cast On and Bind Off only)
One set of DPNs two sizes smaller than Size A
Suggested Size: 2 mm (US 0)

32” circular needle can be used instead of DPNs if using the Magic Loop method for working small circumferences in the round.
