Tashirojima Haori for Littles
This rustic little cardigan was inspired by a Japanese Haori; they are loose and comfortable to wear, hang a little long on the body with wide sleeves and a deep collar. I took the things I liked about Haoris add remixed them to suit the modern little kid. It is easy to wear and super cozy!
I chose to add contiguous pockets to house my daughter’s treasures, but the cardigan can be made without the pockets if preferred. The yardage estimates given assume pockets; if you don’t want pockets, you can get away with a bit less yardage.
