Tarla Shawl Worsted
A garter stitch eyelet leaf lace runs along one side, as this right angle triangular scarf grows 1 stitch each row along the other. “Tarla” means “field” in Turkish, so envision a tract of seed
stitch working into a hedgerow of garter stitch, then replanted by a plot of 1x1 vertical rib bounded again by garter stitch.
These fields alternate positions to complete this reversible 1-skein project.
Materials: 1 skeins, Urth Uneek Worsted, shown in 4020
Dimensions: 24.5”/ 62 cm wingspan, 33”/ 84 cm at widest point, 44”/ 112 cm on the diagonal.
Needles: US 10.5 / 6.5 mm
Gauge: 14 sts x 19 = 4”/10 cm in Stockinette St.
Gauge is not crucial
