Tapestry II is a worsted-weight version of an old favorite. It’s a richly textured cardigan in cables and lace, with a stitch pattern that enhances the waist. The cabled-button band is knit in up the front, then wraps cozily around the neck.

Pattern Info:

Construction: The sweater body is knitted flat from the bottom in one piece to underarms, then knitted separately as two fronts and a back. The cabled buttonband is worked as part of the sweater body, then continues as a narrow band around the neckline. Buttonholes are worked as eyelets within the front cable. Sleeves are set in.

Finished Chest Sizes: 28 (33, 38, 43, 48, 53)“ 1-3” positive ease recommended. To adjust sizing, adjust gauge. Shown in size 38” worn with 2” ease.

Yarn: 8 (9, 10, 12, 13, 15) skeins of any Sunday Knits 5 ply (137 yds / 125 m per 50g skein) yarn.
Shown in Angelic smoke.

Substitute any worsted weight yarn that works nicely to gauge.

Gauge: Using size 7 needles 19 sts=4” in St st.

Needles & Notions: Size 6, 7 & 8 US / 4.0, 4.5 & 5.0 mm knitting needles; tapestry needle; stitch markers; up to thirteen 5/8” / 16 mm buttons.
