Talbot
Talbot is all about geometry; a triangle that turns parallelogram that turns into a rectangle. Knitted on the bias you will get a fantastic drape, the garter strips give some visual interest and let you see your progress in a sea of stockinette. Choose your favourite colour to make it your everyday companion, be it on chilly mornings gazing out the window or on a shopping trip downtown..
Yarn: Rowan Felted Tweed (175 m/191 yards/100g, 50% Merino, 25% Rayon, 25% Alpaca)
Yardage for sample: approx. 800 m/875 yards, 5 skeins, shown in colour Mineral
You may substitute with any sport to dk yarn that knits up to gauge. Please keep in mind that differences in gauge affect yardage; so make sure you have enough yarn to finish your project!
Needles: 3.5 mm/US4 circular needle, cable 80 cm/32 inches
Notions: tapestry needle for weaving in ends, pins for blocking (optional)
Gauge: 18 stitches/24 rows in stockinette stitch, after washing and blocking with relaxed fabric
Measurements: 50 x 160 cm (20 x 63 inches)
Thank you to all my testers for your work and the beautiful shawls you made!
