Sweetheart Mittens
This beautiful mitten is entirely seamless, crocheted in the round with clever shaping for a perfect fit. Stitch illustrations by artist Miranda Currie are included to teach crocheters how to make the mitten’s three main stitches: shells, back loop ribbing, and one round of chainless foundation single crochet.
10% of the designer’s profit from this pattern sale
will be donated to CrossroadsSafehouse.org, providing shelter, safety, warmth, counseling, and a fresh start for battered women & children.
In addition to Ravelry download sales, this pattern is currently being distributed to local yarn stores through Frog Tree Yarns as pattern number FT-171, and has also been selected as one of 2010’s best crochet patterns for inclusion in KAL Media’s Crochet Collection bookazine!
Pattern Version Info:
The current digital download and all printed patterns for sale on cream-colored paper include the final pattern text, tested for clarity and accuracy by several test crocheters and available in your choice of US or UK crochet terminology, plus stitch illustrations by Miranda Currie.
The designer is also working on diagramming every stitch in the pattern so that it can be crocheted by people in any language, and this diagram will be available as a pattern update very soon. If you’ve purchased the complete written pattern and would like to be sent this diagram for free when it is complete, please send a RavMail message to the designer wildbirdsong.
Also feel free to send a RavMail requesting a free pattern upgrade if you’ve purchased an earlier version of the pattern through the Crochet Collection book or the printed patterns sold on pale blue paper. Although these earlier versions will give you a beautiful mitten, the current, upgraded pattern includes more stitch illustrations and a subtle shaping refinement for an even better fit.
