Hoya kerrii Fun Facts

The Hoya Kerrii can take several years to grow as they are mostly sold as one single leaf in a pot rather than a whole plant of heart leaves. It might be difficult to find a full vine.

Hoya kerrii is a species of Hoya native to southeast Asia. Its eponymous collector is Arthur Francis George Kerr, a British physician, and botanist.

The Hoya Kerrii goes by many which include Sweetheart Plant, Sweetheart, Lucky Hearts, Heartleaf, Porcelain Flower, Wax Plant, Sweetheart Hoya, Valentine Hoya, or Wax Hearts.

They share this subfamily with many other popular houseplants such as Ceropegia, Dischidia, Stapelia, and Huernia.

Hoya scent varies. They are known for smelling like chocolate, vanilla, and cinnamon, as well as having a floral scent.
