This cowl was inspired by the patterns on some silver bowls found at the Sutton Hoo Ship Burial site in England. There are also some matching mittens.

When I was drawing the pattern out, I saw circles, but depending on how the cowl is sitting sometimes the stars stand out, and sometimes the circles stand out.

This cozy cowl knits up quickly with two contrasting colors of DK weight yarn. Going from a solid color of ribbing to stranded knitting, then swapping the colors and finishing up with solid ribbing gives the cowl the feel of a fade with only two colors.

An automatic discount of $2 will be applied when buying both the cowl and the mittens.
