Susy's sunflower (square)
This pattern is basically 2 patterns in 1. The sunflower itself consists of only five rows so this pattern is a quick make and you could easily crochet several flowers and make a bunting. Like I did! The sunflowers would also make great coasters.
The other option is to continue after row 5 and make a granny square. The possibilities of a square are endless. A blanket, a bag, a hotpod, a placemat, a pillow. Can’t wait to see your makes!
Skill level: Easy
Materials needed: -Cotton yarn aran weight
-Crochet hook
-Scissors
-Yarn needle
Crochet hook: 4.5 mm hook Clover amour
Yarn used: Scheepjes Cahlista colours: A Saffran 249 (10 gr per sq) (17 m), B Root beer (10 gr per sq) (17 m) and C 157 Petrol 400 (20 gr per sq) (35 m)
Gauge: 17dc width=10 cm 9 rows of dc=10 cm high 4x4”
Square=18x18 cm (7x7”)
