Sunrise Scarf

This is a light and lacy scarf that was designed to bring out the fine texture and soft hand of a Naturally Dyed 50% Baby Camel and 50% Tussah Silk from my local fiber store, “A Verb For Keeping Warm” in Oakland, California. The colorway is called “Pucker”; it is a dusty rose color bringing to mind a very soft kiss. I used the “Sunspot” pattern from Barbara Walker’s ‘Charted Knitting Designs, A Third Treasury of Knitting Patterns’, as the base stitch for the body of this scarf (the spots almost look like a mouth puckering for a kiss). This design is really lovely on either side of the fabric.
