Sunflower Coaster
I have made these coaster so many times for people and markets. They make a great gift and get so many compliments. I thought it was about time I wrote the pattern and shared it with you.
A simple pattern, easy to make and yet a wow result. Use cotton yarn to soak up any moisture and easily wash them for many many uses.
Sunflowers not your thing, choose different colours that work with you home decor or with a gift pack. I have added these to many teacher presents, inlaw gift packages- I even left a set for an airBNB host as the house was such a treat!
Make one, make a set…. only basic crochet skills are needed for this one page, easy to follow pattern.
I use a 3.5mm hook for this however you may find that a 4mm works better for you depending on your tension. I crochet with quite a loose tension so I tend to drop down a hook size.
You should be able to make quite a few out of one 50g ball in each colour, definitely a set of 4 coasters. I would recommend one ball of brown for every 2 balls of the mustard colour.
