Everybody needs a delicate, “chuck-on” shawl, right? The Summer Whimsy Shawl is your loyal companion on those chilly evenings or perhaps when you’re just out exploring during the day!

This top-down crescent-shaped shawl increases six stitches every two rows, giving the wings that classic crescent-shawl curl. Worked flat, Summer Whimsy contains written directions and charts. A handy-dandy progress tracker is included to help you with your row and stitch counts.

This shawl pattern shines well with solid, semi-solid, or lightly variegated/speckled yarns. Picking an appropriate yarn for this project will ensure you don’t have a yarn that distracts from the lovely lacework you’ll create.

GAUGE
20 stitches by 26 rows in stockinette = 4” / 10 cm, after blocking. While gauge is not important, as the fit is not crucial, changes in gauge will result in size differences and the yardage required to complete the project.
