This is a perfect shawl for a summer’s evening. It’s big, airy and showy to wear. Large enough to wear in a few different ways for a stylish look.

I enjoyed the color shift stripes when working in the Berroco “Sesame” yarn. They are whimsical and this yarn has flecks of contrasting color to complement the main colors. You can use another worsted yarn and get great results also.

The pattern is a repeat of 19 sts, you will need to know how or learn to co, bo, k, p, k2tog, ssk, yo and s2kpo and w&t. I had an easy time memorizing most of the rows. It works up quickly on size US 11/8mm needles (32” circular) and worsted weight yarn.

The lace is charted and written out for those who don’t enjoy working from a chart. There are complete written directions for making and picking up the wraps included in the pattern. It’s not difficult!

This was an enjoyable knitting project!
