Summer in Angers Shawl
Inspired by the beauty of Angers, France, in the summertime, I’ve designed this simple shawl: elegant enough to wear for an evening out, but also effortless enough to wear as a scarf.
The piece is worked from side to side with simple stockinette, k2tog/yarnover combinations, and some short rows to create a smooth crescent shape. The stitches for the feather-and-fan edging are picked up all at once. On the final row, pendant beads are added for a whimsical, pretty finish. (I really want to knit this again in a silver sparkly yarn, with a pewter edging and shiny black beads!)
Precise gauge is not essential for this piece. However, a different gauge will affect finished size and yardage needed.
