What a delight, to be asked to design fingerless gloves for Summer, using beautiful feminine yarn. I set about creating a design that had some solid areas to show off the yarn, but with an all-over lace pattern to keep things cool. I wanted something as cool as sorbet, girlie as a cream tea, composed as poem read in the generous shade of a tree on a sunny afternoon.

This glove also looks lovely knit on one size smaller needles, which would fit a 6 to 6 ½ inch hand. If you want to make large gloves, you could add an extra repeat of the pattern.
