Sugar Sweet Woven Vest
This pattern is worked in pieces, one front and one back, from the bottom up. You begin with a hemmed edge then continue in “woven knitting”. The neckband and armhole edges are added later.
It is written with more visual (complete charts) than written instruction. The pattern uses stranded and intarsia techniques. The pieces are sewn together and a neckband and armhole ribbings are added.

YARN Background Yarn
West Wool Glowhair, 25g = 210m / 229yds
Color: Birch Tree
For Sizes 1-4, you will need about 10g / 84m, for Sizes 5-8 will need about 15g / 126m.
Warp and Weft Yarns
CaMaRose Snefnug, 50g = 110m
Sizes 1-5, one ball of each of the following colors, for Sizes 6-8, you will need 2 balls of B, C, D, E, and F (I suggest adding more colors):
A Candy Floss
B Pink
C Koral
D Lys Turkis
E Due Blå
F Jelly Bean Green
The knitting charts are separate PDFs of the FRONT and BACK in the 8 different sizes. They are on the Ravelry download page.
I used 3 warp and 3 weft colors and 1 background color. I switched the warp and weft colors on the back. You might prefer to use only 2 colors or make it with 20. Color-in pages are part of the pattern so that you can create your own color combo.
You will need to use bobbins or wind butterflies of the vertical warp threads.
How-to photos are shown for making the stitch gauge sample. This will help you understand the “woven” process.
