Strut is the first pattern in a series of socks designed for self striping yarn that I released throughout 2015 and 2016, Striped Strides. You can find the sequel collection, Striped Strides 2, here. Purchase 1 Striped Strides collection and you can get the second for 25% off! No coupon code needed!

You’ll find yourself wanting to strut through your day in these fun and colorful socks. They feature a unique stitch pattern that warps the stripes in the yarn throughout the leg. Then they transition to a zig-zag design over the foot.

Though designed for self striping yarn, because there’s a different stitch count every other row these socks would probably be good for breaking up pooling in a variegated yarn. They also look fabulous in a solid or semi solid yarn.

These socks are knit cuff down and feature an afterthought heel.

Notes on Sizing
This pattern comes in 3 different sizes, 68 st, 76 st, and 84 st. The stitch pattern is very tight and doesn’t stretch very much, so you’ll want to knit a size that is 6-10 stitches larger than what you would normally knit a stockinette sock in. For instance, if you would normally knit a 60 st stockinette sock, you’ll want to knit the small (68 st) size. If you normally knit a 70 st sock, you’ll want to knit the medium (76 st) size. If you’re not sure which size to make, I would suggest you err on the side of a larger sock.

E-Book Information
Throughout 2015, and a little of 2016, I released 5 patterns designed for self-striping yarn. Each pattern is available for sale individually, but additionally they are available as a group. This is the ebook listing, although you won’t actually receive a book if you use that option. Instead you’ll receive a group of individual patterns.

This means that there are two purchasing options. You may purchase whichever patterns you desire individually, for $4 each, or you may purchase all 5 together, for $18.

You may purchase the ebook here.
