Gauge ___ stitches and ___ rounds = 4”/10 cm, in stockinette stitch in the round.
Needles Gauge needle and needles 1 size smaller
The samples were knit with 16”/41 cm, 24”/61 cm, or 32”/81 cm circulars using the magic loop method.
The hats shown measure 18 - 19½”/46 - 49.5 cm around and both are 13”/33 cm deep.

Notions One stitch marker, one extra needle for the 3NBO.
A tapestry needle to weave in the ends.

Techniques used and described - K2tog (knit 2 together), Flat 3NBO (Flat 3 Needle Bind Off), Helical Stripes

Safety Hat

1 skein each of 2 shades MDK Atlas, 100% Rambouillet Wool, 50g, 145y/132m, shown in Clementine and Barn Red
Gauge 19 stitches and 32 rounds to 4”/10 cm
Finished size 19½”/ 49.5 cm around and 13”/33cm deep.

Leftovers Hat

One half skein Leftover Rios, and an unknown wool fingering held double. The finished weight is 95g. 
Gauge 18 stitches and 30 rounds to 4”/10 cm
Finished size 18”/46 cm around and 13”/33cm deep.
