Stout and Short Wool-Ease Socks
by Dawn Adcock
From the Designer:
These socks were knit for my husband’s
wide and short feet, a size 7 ½ wide. I
originally used Lion Brand Woolease yarn,
but the socks developed holes rather
quickly, so I now use sturdier light worsted
(or DK weight) yarn.
Comments by hakucho:
Very easy first sock, ribbed for comfort and variable size ankles. The recommended yarn weight for this pattern is a DK weight, knit at a tighter than usual gauge. The designer used Wool-Ease, which she rates as a light worsted weight yarn, not a worsted.
