Steyrtal
by Julia Riede
Steyrtal is a triangle shawl featuring traditional stitch patterns from Austria and Bavaria. Usually, these stitch patterns are used for socks, stockings, sweaters and cardigans only - there is no old Austrian tradition in shawl knitting (so far, at least!).
The shawl is started with a garter tab variety and worked top down with a center panel. Only right side rows are patterned rows. The border is worked sideways.
