This women’s pullover is knit from the neck down to the bottom hem. It features two snowflake motifs scattered around the yoke in beads, and a gradient fade from inky blue-black to white from top to bottom. The neckline and hems/cuffs are worked in 1x1 ribbing. The upper body is shaped with concentric increases. The sleeve stitches are then placed on scrap yarn or holders while the remainder of the body is worked to the hem in the round. The sleeves are then placed back on the needles and worked down to the hems as well.

The sweater is worked with a very lofty yarn (Alpakka Lin) - if substituting yarns, be sure to choose one that will work with the beads. A true Aran-weight yarn will be too dense for this project. . Sample was knit in CC1 (6555 – dark blue-black), CC2 (6559 - gray), CC3 (1310 – light gray) and CC4 (6560 – white). You will need 2 (2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 5,) balls of CC1 and 1 (1, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3) balls each of CC2, CC3 and CC4 to knit pattern as written. You will also need size 6 seed beads; sample used crystal silver-lined beads. You will need 657 (693, 749, 767, 823, 850, 907, 989) beads to knit the sample as written. It is recommended you purchase 10-15% extra for loss or breakage, as extra insurance.
