Starfish Cardigan
A hip-length v-neck cardigan with set-in sleeves and a subtle texture panel that shimmers then fades in a variegated yarn.
The body is worked in one piece to the underarms, then fronts and back are divided and worked separately to the shoulders. The sleeves are worked in the round to the underarm then the cap is shaped working back and forth in rows and sewn into place. If substituting yarn, look for Aran weight yarns with good stitch definition.
Finished Measurements to fit a 31 ½ 35, 38 ½, 42 ¼, 45 ¾, 48 ½” bust (Sample measures 35” and is worn with minimal ease). The fit is relaxed through the body with subtle waist shaping, then fitted in the shoulders. The sleeves are long and lean.
Materials
approximately 1000 (1100, 1200, 1300, 1400, 1500) yards Aran weight yarn. - your mileage may very.

The sample was knit at a relaxed gauge and the texture pattern is very subtle in the variegated yarn. For a more defined texture pattern choose yarns that result in a denser fabric and still meet gauge.
The cardigan shown does not have closer; instructions for including buttonholes on the neck/front band are included in the finishing.
