Springy Mitts
The Springy Mitts are for that time of year. You know the one I mean! Too warm for full mittens, still too chilly to go out with nothing at all on your hands and wrists. You’re in the mood for bright cheerful colors and a quick little knit!
These mitts are simple, but they’ve got fun techniques included to hold your interest. First, of course, is the colors. Three colors are always fun to put together! And the ribbing is just a little bit lacy. There’s also a Latvian Braid, tubular cast on and sewn bind off, and a jogless join thrown in there! With tutorials for all, of course. You can knit these up quickly from bits and pieces and have them in the mail to someone special the next day to spread a little bit of springtime cheer.
Note: the jogless join is worked on palm.

About my project
Welcome to my oddments project number two! (See the first one here.)
This has been a tough few years for many. Me too. And one thing that’s gotten me through is giving people I care about small gifts. Let’s face it: big projects are beyond what many of us want to do right now. But small bits of knitted love are so manageable, and they’re so satisfying when finished and gifted. And even moreso when they’re made from oddments.
And I wanted to share that lovely feeling with you, because we all have those stray bits and pieces of yarn here and there. They’re different weights and different colors. Some are a full skein. Some are just leftover tidbits, but you can’t throw them away! Definitely not a sweater’s worth of any one color or yarn, let alone a shawl’s worth or even a full pair of socks or mitts. You can’t imagine what to do with them, but you don’t want to part with them. Well. This is the book for you! 15 patterns to turn your scraps into loving bits of kindness that will brighten your friends’ and loved ones’ day.
All patterns have charts (if needed) and written instructions, and you can make them out of oddments. These are small projects, not big ones: the perfect size for a cozy evening or two of stitching.
All patterns for this eBook have been delivered.
