Springtime Purse
This pattern is no longer available
This is a cute springtime purse for your favorite little girl (or maybe even a big girl!) You can make this purse with just about any yarn from sport weight to heavy worsted weight. If you use wool yarns, you can even felt it for a different look.
If you want a more sturdy bottom, you can cut a piece of plastic canvas, cover a piece of thick cardboard with plastic wrap, or even cut a piece of thin balsa wood and tuck it inside on the bottom.
Add a novelty button or two for a finishing touch and you’ll have a unique little purse that will bring a smile to anyone who sees it!
Size: Finished size will depend on the yarn you use; made with DK weight yarn & a G6/4.00mm hook the bottom piece will be approx. 5 ¼ inches in diameter and the purse will be approx. 6 inches tall.
You will need to know how to do chains, slip stitches, single & double crochet, and a double crochet cluster (instructions in the pattern).
