Spring Latvian Mitts
The design for these Latvian Finglerless Mitts was
inspired by the book Latviesu Rakstainie Cimdi by
Mirzda Slava, and contains several traditional
techniques and motifs: the scalloped cuff, the Split
Herringbone Braid, the afterthought thumb-hole,
the purl ridges, a picot hem at the top, and classic
Latvian motifs.
You can make a larger size by using worsted weight and size 6 dpn.
You only need 80 yards for the white yarn, and 40 yards of each of the other colors.
