James C Brett Top Value DK, 1 ball each
• A White 8428
• B Parchment 0843
• C Opal 0845
• D Gold 8462
• E Bright Orange 8443

About the yarn
DK; 290m per 100g ball; 100% acrylic

Additional materials
• 1 pair each of 6mm and 5mm mushroom shaped eye beads or safety eyes
• Cotton thread
• Toy stuffing
• Oddment of dark brown 4-ply yarn
• 3.5mm wooden stick
• Wooden beads
• Liquid glue
• 2 press stud fasteners
Note: if these are for young children, don’t include the wooden sticks.

Tension
24 sts x 34 rows = 10cm measured over St st (not essential)

Needles used
3.5mm straight

• Stitch holders
• Crochet hook
• Locking stitch markers or waste yarn
• Chenille needle
• All-purpose sewing needle

Practical tips
• Leave long ends for the parts that require assembly.
• Sew seam with RS facing, using mattress stitch.
