Spin Art Hat
I named this quick knit Spin Art, since I designed it for the NFC Studio Chunky colorways named for artists. The color in the photo is named for Shepard Fairey. I’m eyeing Banksy, too.
NOTE re. blocking: When I block superwash I generally put it in the dryer for at least 10 minutes to pull it back together, then pat flat.
Materials: 90 yards of bulky wt yarn. Hat shown uses 1 skein of Neighborhood Fiber Company Studio Chunky, 100% Superwash Merino, 125 yards/4 oz in color Shepard Fairey
Needles: US 10/6mm 16” circular needles or size to get gauge. Double pointed needles US 10/6mm for top of hat.
US 8/4.5mm 16” circular needle for ribbing.
Thanks to Jimee325 for testing!
Gauge: 14 sts/21 rows over 4” in stockinette
15 sts/20 rows over 4” in pattern after blocking.
