Gauge-size needle of preferred type for working small circumferences
Gauge-size or smaller circular needle of any length, for tubular bind off and three-needle bind off
Locking stitch markers

28 sts and 56 rows to 10cm / 4in over garter stitch on gauge-size needle.
Use 2.75mm needles as a starting point for swatching.

Pattern notes
These mitts are knit in modular sections. First, front and back are knit as two conjoined mitered squares, then the thumb is knit sideways with short-row shaping and a small graft. Top and bottom cuffs are added last, finished with a tidy tubular bind-off.
