Embossed crochet: a combination of front post and back post double crochet

Abbreviations:
Traditionally, embossed crochet patterns only included charts and used complex abbreviations, making them less accessible. To simplify, I’ve shortened traditional abbreviations (e.g., FPdc = F, BPdc = B, FPdc2inc = F2i, FPdc2tog = F2t). While these require a brief learning curve, they are intuitive and easier to follow

This pattern includes:
Written instructions in US terms, step-by-step pictures for kining, video for stitches, chart, pattern support via Facebook group

Recommended materials:

• Scheepjes Linen Soft (27% Linen x 47% Cotton x 26% Acrylic, 50g/ 135m/ 147.6 yds). or Scheepjes Catona.
• 430g/ 9 skeins/ 1270yds in color 620.
• Crochet hook C-2/ 2.75mm, tapestry needle.
• 4cm/ 1 ½’’ in diameter 2 metal rings for attaching a strap.
• Sew on magnetic clasp (optional).
• 7cm/ 3’’ x 65cm/ 25 ¾’’ of Pellon 376 Fusible Buckram to reinforce handles.

For lining (measure completed bag before buying supplies):

• About 62cm/ 27’’ of 20’’ wide #808 Pellon Craft-Fuse iron-on backing/ interfacing (twice of (stretched bag height excluding handles plus 3cm/ 1 1/8’’ for seam allowances).
• About 34cm/ 13 3/8’’ of fabric (stretched bag height excluding handles plus 3cm/ 1 1/8’’ for seam allowances).
• Hand-sewing needle, sewing machine, yarn color matching sewing thread.
