Speckled Hen
From the pattern:
I have a small ceramic hen and rooster collection, and most of them are hand-painted with polka dots and stripes. Recently, I have had my eye on a beautiful hen, speckled with black and white, at a local boutique. It reminds me of his hat. Its colors are obviously inspired by the black and white feathers, but I’ve created many versions of this hat inspired by different feathers I find. I usually make this hat for children who are a bit older because of the feathers, which can come loose.
