If you purchase 5 of my self-published designs at the same time (they need to be in the same cart), you will get the least expensive for free!

If you’d like to use the same yarn as me, I recommend visiting Melinda’s Etsy shop.

Solstice Rose Shawl begins at the top center and is worked outwards to the ribbed border. The main body of the shawl is worked in Bobbles pattern with a center Cable Spine. After completing the shawl’s main body, you will work the Brambles section while increasing sts as before. Finally, you will work a simple ribbed border with I-cord Bind Off.

One size
Wingspan: 160 cm/63”.
Depth: 78 cm/30.75”.

Yarn
3 skeins of Pure Merino DK by Samelin Dyeworks (100% Superwash merino; 225m/246y per 100g); Sample shown in Caramel.
Or 675m/738y of any other DK weight yarn with similar yardage, which gives you the correct gauge.

Needles
4.5 mm/US #7 circular needle (100 cm/40” long).
5.0 mm/US #8 circular needle (100 cm/40” long) or one size bigger than main needle.

Other
3 stitch markers, cable needle, tapestry needle for weaving, blocking pins.

Gauge
17 sts and 26 rows = 10 cm/4” in Stockinette stitch worked flat (after wet blocking).
The gauge isn’t crucial on this project, but differences will affect the finished size as well as the required yardage.
