This lacy top is inspired by fields of wheat and slow, golden afternoons. The textured lace panels grow up the front and back like tall grass, meeting at a flattering V neckline and twining into simple shoulder straps. It’s delicate and romantic, but don’t be fooled—it’s a relaxing knit with an intuitive rhythm. Whether you’re barefoot in the garden or layering it over a dress, this top brings a little bit of sunshine to your needles.

Notes

• Designed to be worn with 0-2” (0-5 cm) of intended ease. For a more relaxed fit, consider sizing up; for a closer, more fitted look, opt for a smaller size.
• The top is worked from the bottom up, starting at the hem. Then, separate for front and back, and work front armhole shaping and front neckline shaping at the same time. Finally, work front neckline shaping only.
• The back is worked the same as the front. The final stitches on shoulder straps are grafted.
• Pay attention to the slip sts, all of them are worked purlwise, with yarn in front of the work.
* Sample shown is size medium 36” bust, with a cropped length at 15” / 38 cm from underarm.
