Sock Candy Bag
by Adrienne Ku
The design for this elegant drawstring bag was inspired by a sample in Gayle Roehm’s class on stitches from Japanese designs.
The bottom of the bag is worked in linen stitch to create a firm base and then stitches are picked up and worked in the round using a Japanese lace pattern to create an expandable body. The top is worked in stockinette stitch for stability and finished off with a picot edge.
Instructions for creating the drawstring ties are included.
