The Snug as a Bug family keeps getting bigger! After the scarf and the socks, welcome to the mittens.

Started at the cuff with an I-Cord detail, the Snug as a Bug mittens feature the signature chevron motif, encased in the traditional Estonian shape.

The result are comfortable mittens that will keep your fingers warm all winter long.

Sizes:

Hand circumference: 18 (21.5) 23.5 cm / 7 (8.5) 9 in
Finished circumference: 21.5 (25) 27 cm / 8.5 (10) 10.5 in
The mittens will fit best with 0-3 cm / 0-1 in positive ease.

Yarn:
Nest Worsted by Magpie Fibers (100% non-superwash Corriedale wool, 192 m / 210 yds to 100 g. 1 skein of each colorway Careless Whisper (as MC) and Magpie (as CC).
Or 1 skein* of each colorway of worsted-weight yarn or any yarn you obtain gauge with. Suggested alternatives: Recollect Worsted by The Farmer’s Daughter Fibers, Cascade 220 by Cascade Yarns or Wool of the Andes Worsted by Knit Picks.
* 50g skeins will be enough for a pair.

Needles:
Main needles: 5 mm / US 8 circular
Cuff and thumb needles: 4 mm / US 6.
Use DPN’s, small circular such as 23 cm / 9 in for circular knitting or longer circular such as 81 cm / 32 in for magic loop.

Notions:
Tapestry needle.
1 unique marker (BORM) (if working with small circular).
Spare cable, safety pin or scrap yarn to put sts on hold.

Gauge:
18.5 sts and 19.5 Rnds to 10 cm / 4 inches in pattern .
