The patterns has 5 different snowflakes, plus 2 variations. They are worked in DMC Petra 3 or 5, but any 4 ply or finer thread can be substituted, as only small amounts are required.

The snowflakes can also be worked in DK cotton with a larger hook, to make festive coasters.

Basic stitches are used, plus clusters and picots. The snowflakes measure between 8cms and 15cms diameter.
