About the pattern: The pattern includes two snowflake designs in two colourways.
The stars and the snowflakes are made separately and then sewn together with invisible sewing thread. The beads are added while joining the pieces.
For no-sew option, use permanent fabric glue to attach snowflakes to stars and hotfix rhinestones instead of beads.

Size: 8 cm / 3.25”.

Yarn:

  • Scheepjes Catona, fine weight #2 yarn (100% cotton, 125 m (137 yds)/50 g (1.8 oz)), colours 511 Cornflower and 106 Snow White, 3 g / 8 m / 9 yds for each star.
  • Scheepjes Maxi Sweet Treat, size 10 crochet thread (100% cotton; 140 m (153 yds)/25 g (0.88 oz)), colours 215 Royal Blue and 106 Snow White, 1 g / 6 m / 6 yds for each snowflake.

Hooks: 3.5 mm (US Size E/4) for making stars, 1.5 mm (US Size 7 steel) for making snowflakes.

Notions:

  • Toho 8/0 round seed beads (3 mm) in silver lined crystal colour
  • invisible sewing thread, for example, Gütermann thread invisible white (1001)
  • yarn needle for weaving in the yarn ends
  • sewing needle for attaching the snowflakes and the beads to the stars
  • blocking mat and pins

Gauge:

  • The star: the finished star measures 7.5 – 8 cm / 3” – 3.25”, measured between the two most distant points.
  • The snowflakes: the finished snowflake measures 5.5 – 6 cm / 2” – 2.5”, measured between the two most distant points.
