#This pattern is for CUFF-DOWN, TOE-UP can be found HERE.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is the Cuff-Down pattern to “Dashing through the Snow” , pictured in photos. The heel has a gusset/heel flap, as show in the second photo.
The toe-up design was created with this beautiful self-striping yarn blending all the blues of a cold winter. The pattern on the socks reminded me of taking a brisk walk down the freshly plowed street and how the snow is pushed onto the sides of the street.
The pattern is written for DPNs referring to Needles 1-4. You can accommodate it for Magic Loop or 2 circulars.
NOTIONS: Stitch marker to mark the beginning of the round, A tapestry needle for weaving ends.
PATTERN STYLE: The pattern contains written as well as chart instructions. There is a key and full abbreviation list included as well.
DIFFICULTY: Advanced Beginner/Intermediate: increases, decreases, and sock construction.
YARN: This pattern was designed to show off the beautiful colors in self-striping yarn. Certainly solid, lightly tonal yarn or subtle variegated would show excellent stitch definition.
