These mid-forearm length mitts are worked in the round from the upper ribbed cuff to the hand opening. They are decorated with a beaded snowflake pattern on the back of the hands, which runs up the arm. The palm of the mitts is worked in a 2/1 ribbing. The thumb is shaped with a gusset, and the thumb stitches are worked in ribbing as well.

You will need approximately 125-175 yards of the Alpakka Lin yarn to knit these mitts as written, and a total of 66 size 6 silver-lined crystal beads. (When purchasing beads, allow 10-20% extra to allow for loss or breakage.) Beads are applied using the crochet-hook method, so a small gauge (size 14 or 12) crochet hook is also recommended.
