Snap Frame Purses
These are cut and sew designs. Any knitted fabric may be used. Interfacing may be helpful to stabilize some fabrics. Any gauge may be used. These are a real classic in the handbag world but only recently have frames been available to allow us to make our own. Frames are available from very in- expensive and simple to quite elaborate and pricy. I suggest that you start with the basic frames in coin purse sizes to perfect your skills before investing in fancier frames. All frames of this sort have a channel into which the edge of the fabric fits. Some also have holes to allow the fabric to be stitched through the frame. The no-hole variety require glue to do the entire job. I use Allen’s Clear Gel or Fabric Tac Clear Glue for jobs like this. 3-11” wide
