Pattern calls for vintage 3 ply wool, 4 oz. in a dark shade, 2 in a light shade and 6 buttons. Can be substituted for modern 4-ply wool.

The patterns offers alternative stitch patterns and design elements for the waistcoats. One version in stockinette, one in Birdsfoot stitch which is a slip stitch that gives vertical stripes, and one in horizontal, alternating stripes of dark and light blue.

NB! There’s a typo in the pattern concerning the front bands and sleeve bands. The pattern first tells us to use 12 sts then changes the number to 6.
