These quick-to-work baby shorts or trousers (pants), with soft ribbed waistband and drawstring tie can be worked in sizes birth to 12 months and adjusted for custom fit. Suggested lengths provided.

The pattern also includes two bonus items for newborn photo shoot use - an ‘Ecky Thump’ flat cap and a unisex beanie (with optional flower).

You will need: Up to 300m DK yarn, 3.50 mm hook, a stitch marker, a needle for neatening ends.

Gauge: necessary for hats only - 4sts and 2 rows to 1” in UK trebles. Work shorts/trousers in same gauge when making matching sets.
