Shima Shima socks are worked cuff down. Cuff and leg are worked in the round, then the instep stitches are held while short row heel and the sole are worked. Stripe stitch pattern is worked flat over the instep while being joined to the sole. (Not Intarsia. Connect in a easy way!) Video tutorials are included.

30 sts & 42 rows = 10 cm / 4” in stockinette st with Needle A
30 sts & 53 rows = 10 cm / 4” in garter stitch with Needle A
32 sts & 52 rows = 10 cm / 4” in stripe pattern with Needle B, C

Needle A (NA): US 1 / 2.25 mm, 80 cm / 32” circular needle x 2
Needle B (NB): US 1½ / 2.5 mm, 15-20 cm double point needle (DPN) x 2
Needle C (NC): US 1½ / 2.5 mm, 80 cm / 32” circular needle x 1

Note for needles:
Choose the needle size depending on your knitting tension.
The sample was worked using NA and NC with the magic loop method. First NA and NC can be substituted with needles suitable for small circular knitting.
