Materials: 13.5 yards Caron Simply Soft or similar 4ww yarn
Hook: Size I 5.25mm
Gauge: 14 hdc & 13 rows = 4”
Finished Size: 3.5” diameter

Stitch Abbreviations:
st(s) – stitch(es)
ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
yo - yarn over
sc - single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
dc – double crochet
Special Stitches:
Cluster – (yo, insert hook in indicated st, pull up a loop, yo, pull through 2 loops on hook) 5x, yo, pull through all 6 loops on hook
Spike dc – yo, insert hook in indicated st, pull up a loop to the height of the working round and complete the dc. Make sure not to tighten the tension on this step or it will bunch the petal
Notes:
Leave a tail long enough at the beginning or end of the flower to allow for sewing your flower to your project
For color changes as shown in photo, work rounds 1-2 the same color and rounds 3-4 a different color
