A children’s scarf made as a looong sheep, easily made even longer if you like. Choice of novelty “joggle” eyes for kids over 3 yrs, or knitted eyes for the “natural” look.
There is a two sided head with a “mouth” that the “rear end” can go through to hold the scarf in place (very unnatural for sheep, but it’s a scarf).
The scarf is knit flat, all in garter st (the only purl stitches are in the eyes). Lots of photos to show how to put the it all together.
Make your sheep any colour, as long as it’s soft and cuddly.
The head and legs are knitted in plain DK / 8ply yarn; the body is knit with a soft fluffy yarn of about DK thickness, held together with a thin 4ply to give it stability – this equals about a 12 ply yarn if you wish to use a similar fluffy yarn on it’s own (sample use Sirdar Snuggly Snowflake Bulky plus Patons Big Baby 4 ply).
