The best dish scrubbie! With it’s square/rectangle shape, it’s flexible, and so easy to use cleaning a range of dishes.

The Scrub-Ology Yarn is really great! It works well to clean things that are stuck on dishes, and for cleaning greasy dishes - even spaghetti sauce! I love that the grease does not stay on the sponge, like it does with others, and when you need to wash it, just throw it in the wash with your other items! Lay out to dry.

My Shay series features designs worked in simple single crochets. This yarn type and the assembly are a little more involved so better for an advanced beginner.

Materials:

• 12 (24) Yards of Bulky #5 Weight Nylon Yarn - I used Scrub-Ology Scrub It!
• J10/6mm Crochet Hook
• Tapestry Needle
• Jewelry Pliers, Optional

Material Notes:
An alternative to this 100% nylon yarn is strips of tulle.

Weaving in ends of this yarn is hard on the fingers. You can use jewelry pliers to carefully help pull the tapestry needle through the work.

Time Spent:

• Smaller about 10 minutes
• Larger just under 15 minutes

Gauge:
3 SC = 2 3/16” wide

Gauge is not essential if the finished size is not important to you, but I have found that the Scrub-Ology Scrub It! yarn varies quite a bit so you may want to check it.
